MAPLAN

Well were doing a group project, we have two amazing ideas, one is based on each of the people in our group to pick their own author and obviously do a research on them, and we'll gather everything and connect them in some way which will turn into a scavenger hunt on our blogs. The other way is exactly the same, but instead it would be just one author and we'll each get parts to search for and do the same scavenger hunt. (:

MY F451

The way I interpreted this novel was that, it's set in a future where books, and the ideas they represent are burned to prevent disruptions in society. It's main character Guy Montag is responsible for those burnings to take place, but an unexpected chain of events lead him to question both himself and the society in which he lives. Through its intense, action-packed telling of Montag's story, the narrative explores themes relating to the need for and power of independent thought, humanity's capacity for self-limitation , and the value of courage. This is far off a very good book that gives you a lot to think about and inspires you to read more of anything.

SPRING LITERATURE ANALYSIS #1

1.My book was called Deenie , about a young 12 year old girl who's mother had big plans for her for being a model. Deenie wasn't really against it but she had her own plans. She loved being pretty and attractive. She wanted to be a cheerleader but her posture didn't let her enter anywhere because of it. Her gym teacher noticed it and send her to a doctor and after so many examinations it had a name , adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. She didn't understand why i happened to her and taught since it was ugly she made herself look ugly by cutting of her hair wearing baggy clothes and no make-up. She'll have to wear it for 4 or more years.
2.The theme of this novel is self-confidence or the lack of it.
3.The authors tone is very straight forward when deenie asks the doctor "Am I going to die?" , Also very calm because instead of freaking out she only wanted to get fixed and get helped.
4.Foreshadowing helped me to figure out a lot of things in my book for ex. on pg 41 were Dr. Moriva asks Deenie "I'd like you to end over ans touch your toes." And she said "My teacher made me do the same thing.
Hyperbole on pg 33, Deenie touched a girl with eczema and had to hold hands and went straight to the restroom and washed her hands a million times. Irony is used on pg 36 when deenie tells her friend "My mother's going to kill me!" . Idiom is shown in pg. 38 when Deenie's mother tells her " Your talk is circles" . Onomatopoeia was used in pg 38 when deenie's dad was talking to her teacher she heard alot of " Uh Huh". Sarcasm was used in pg

1.Direct characterization:
-" I Don't want to be a model!"
-" Ok I confess I have a crush on buddy brader.""
Indirect characterization
- "When janet was the 7th grader they picked I act like I was really happy for her."
-"Aunt Rae sent a picture with out telling us and now they want to see you."
2. The author's diction did change when deenie would be talking to her mom and to her dad she trusted more and opened up to more to her dad she would just do as told by her mother
3. The protagonist is dynamic because she's always trying to find out things if no one can explain it to her.
4. I felt like if I have met a friend I had when I was younger how strange how people can be the same in some way.

I'M A POET AND I KNOW IT !

GUY MONTAG -
As the fire rages in my eyes

Every ounce of humanity drains
Every fiber of my being
Every particle of my soul
Everything that is me
Is in the colors of the fire
The reds
The yellows
The blues
Of the fires in my eyes.

FAHRENHEIT 451

I Learned Many Things From This Story Which Really Surprised Me. I Learned That Television Destroys Interest In Reading Literature . Also That It Came To A Point Were Reading Was Illegal ! And That Reading Books Always Tells You Something That You've Had Experience With And When You Read A Book Everyone Interprets It In A Totally Different Way Like For Example The Main Character Montag Read One Of The Book He Was Hiding To His Wife's Friend, Ms. Phelps & Ms. Bowles And Ms. Phelps Cryed After Hearing Poetry,  And Ms. Bowles Took It As An Insult, She Was Disgusted . That's Why Reading IS Good Because Not Only Is It A Benefit To Everyone But It Keeps You Away From Putting Your Mind In Something That Doesn't Help . (:

THEME FOR ENGLISH 3

I Think My Teachers Do Not Know Who I Really Am Because With Them I Am A Shy Quiet Girl, But With My Friends Or Family We Act Different In A Good Or Bad Way. I Don't Think I Can Be My Self As I Pursue Knowledge And Find My Place In The World.. At Least Not ALL Myself . A Talent That I Have That Can Enrich Learning For Me , That Helps Me , Is That I Love Doing My Own Nails And Being Creative And Doing Different Designs , I Can Use This In Learning By Thinking Of The Words CREATIVE And IMAGINATION It Takes Both To Find Learning Interesting In Our Daily Lives, This Way We Bring Creativity To Our Pictures, Presentations, etc. And Our Imagination We Use A Lot So When We Write Essays The Readers Find It Interesting To Read. What I Am Forced To Keep Private Is My Real Abilities To Do More Than Expected... My Role In Learning Is Actually To Do As Told And Demonstrate A Little More That Can Help In  A Very Efficient Way. SPRING POST 1: MUSIC AS LITERATURE

Yes Music Can Be Considered As Literature. We Define Literature As To Scratching & Scribbling It Is Based On Criteria Of Imaginative, Creative, Or Artistic Value. It Has Much To Do With The Real Life As Well As Your Imagination(: .I Honestly Say That There Is No Difference Between A Novel, poem, opera, symphony , or a rap because all of these were written and practiced and they all make a difference of everything on how we talk and think about.
